Whether you are just beginning or a blooming professional, Chris will help you to create meaningful and inspiring photographs while leading you down a path towards finding your own creativity.

Chris is a supporter of photography as a creative medium. Expressing yourself through your photographs is one of the most rewarding gifts of photography. Chris goes beyond just teaching you how to use your camera also how to creatively use it.

Most of Chris’s workshops are geared towards getting out exploring an area and letting nature be the guide. Photography is all about discovery and you can’t do that from a parking lot or the side of the road. Workshop exploration may include:
Taking a hike to a destination
Sleep overnight in a tent or your car
Eating snacks and packed meals for lunch to follow light and be in the right position for golden hours.
Waiting for the right light or storm clearing to get the perfect shots.
Strategic sleeping times to ensure we don’t miss golden hours and peak star viewing times. This may include naps in the day.
Solid fundamentals to Cutting-Edge infield techniques
Chris is a big believer in solid fundamentals to set a solid foundation to build on. Chris also teaching cutting-edge techniques that are sometimes needed to bring the vision to life and capture what is needed for post processing. These include:
Creative ways to shoot high dynamic range scenes, including filter use and exposure blending
Learn how to deal with extreme depth of field situation through focus stacking
Options for creating panoramas and unique blends such as focal blending and perspective blending when needed.
Night photography techniques, including twilight blends, photographing the Milky Way through stacking and/or Equatorial Mount
Take your images to the next level with fresh post processing techniques
Most of Chris’s workshops include post processing sessions that provide total workflow solutions from raw file preparation through to sharpening for web and print. Chris brings some of the latest innovations and personal tips and tricks to each session. These include:
Exposure blends
Focus stacking
Advanced dodging and burning techniques.
Painting with light and finishing effects such as the orton effect and light bleeding
The creation and use of masks (luminosity masks and other types)
Coloring for realism and for fine art
A fun experience
Having fun a part of having a great trip and putting the mind in a place to be free and creative. This is all part of the photography experience and Chris does his best to ensure that you have an enjoyable experience during all his workshops.

Chris Ewen Crosby is a licensed business owner and operator with General Liability insurance for your safety.
He is First Aid/CPR/AED Certified by the American Red Cross and he is also certified in Leave No Trace principles not only practicing them but teaching them.
When necessary all land use permits with National, State and Local governments and agencies will be obtained.
